Mrs. Hofferber was born in Tarzana, California. Her family moved to the Santa Clarita Valley when she was five years old. She attended Highlands Elementary, Arroyo Seco Junior High, and graduated from Saugus High in 1988. During high school, Mrs. Hofferber played goalie on the soccer team and catcher on the softball team. Mrs. Hofferber then attended College of the Canyons for two years before transferring to California State University, Northridge where she earned a B.A. degree, followed by her teaching credential. Mrs. Hofferber's first teaching assignment was at High Desert Middle School in Acton, California in 1994.
In 1999, she joined the teaching staff at Saugus High. Mrs. Hofferber went on to earn a M.A. degree in Math Education in 2002 at California State University, Northridge.
Mrs. Hofferber is currently teaching Honors Geometry and Algebra 2 at the 9th through 12th grade levels.
